Living in Arizona, I thought it only fitting to paint a desert landscape with lots of vibrant colors. Even before studying pointillism, applying color with dots just felt right in certain areas of this piece. If you look even more closely, you’ll discover two people’s profiles in the mountains, something most viewers never notice because all mountains have jagged edges, right? It was such a fun way to customize this painting for its owners.
